Margarito De Leon

ALAMO- Margarito De Leon, 70, went to be with the Lord on January 24, 2018, in Edinburg, TX surrounded by his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Margarito and Esperanza De Leon; three sisters; Sofia Trevino, Francisca Coronado, and Lucinda Solis.
Margarito is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Blanca M. De Leon of Alamo; his two daughters, Blanca (Isaac) Lopez, Analiz (Tony) Vargas, both of Edinburg; four grandchildren, Sophia Lopez, Ezra Lopez, Elian Vargas, Alisa Vargas; and a sister, Elvira (Ramon) Ozuna of Brownsville.
He was a man of faith and passion for life. He was full of love, energy and always willing to give his words of encouragement to anyone who would lend an ear.
Margarito spent the early years of his life in Matamoros, Tamaulipas before moving and settling with his wife and raising his two daughters in Alamo, TX. Margarito spent his career in sales at JcPenney and after 35 years he retired. He had an outstanding work ethic that earned him many accolades throughout his career.
Margarito spent his life as a devoted husband and father. He was renewed with a sense of purpose and joy when his grandchildren were born. He would say his greatest accomplishment was his family. In the last days of his life he wanted to renew his vows to his wife of 40 years for all the world to see and have a great party where they would dance the night away. His family is overwhelmed with peace knowing that one day they will have this celebration.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Friday, January 26, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral Service will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 27, 2018, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Cremation will take place at a later date.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
