Ricco Diaman Delgado
McAllen – Ricco Diaman Delgado, 32, died Saturday, February 25, 2017, in Austin, Texas.
Born in McAllen, he had lived there all his life.
Ricco graduated from Nikki Rowe High School in 2003 and from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas with a BA in 2009. He then attended law school at Texas Southern University in Houston and graduated Magna Cum Laude in May 2015. Ricco passed the bar exam in July 2015, and practiced law before and after he was an Assistant Criminal District Attorney for Hidalgo County.
Ricco was a beloved son, brother, father, family member and friend. His engaging personality was a magnet that drew everyone’s attention and affection immediately upon first meeting him. He was a natural born leader to whom many turned for counsel. Ricco was intelligent, creative, charismatic, and good looking. The nickname many ascribed to Ricco was “Ricco Suave” and it aptly fit him.
He was an avid and extraordinarily outdoorsman who excelled at every event with which he engaged. He loved teaching his son, Nathan, about ethical hunting and fishing. He shared his hobbies with his father, son, brothers, cousins and friends; always the life of every party. He brought laughter and excitement to every gathering and joy to those who shared his life.
Ricco now shares his eternity with his beloved brother Roman in heaven.
He is preceded in death by a brother, Roman David Delgado; paternal grandparents, Luis and Leonor Delgado; and maternal grandparents, Camilo and Aurelia Reyna.
Ricco is survived by his parents, Judge Rudy and Diana Delgado; a son, Nathan Liam Delgado, all of McAllen; two brothers, Rudy D. Delgado of Austin, Ryan D. Delgado of San Antonio; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2017, and from 3 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton, Edinburg.
Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 2, 2017, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in McAllen. Cremation will take place at Memorial Cremation Center in Edinburg.
Brothers Rudy D. Delgado and Ryan D. Delgado will escort their brother Ricco into the church.
Serving as pallbearers will be Roland Villarreal, Roman Villarreal, Vincent Delgado, Justin Delgado, Elmo Cody Cantu and Pete Romero.
Honorary Pallbearers are Emilio Vargas and Cesar Perales.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
