Maria Hermila Delgado Rodriguez

Maria Hermila Delgado Rodriguez, 77, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 29, 2023 in McAllen.
After battling her last years with Dementia, she is now resting in paradise with our Father God. Hermila worked her entire life, where she began as a seamstress at Haggars in Edinburg. After the company closed, she worked towards receiving her GED diploma, and began to work with Edinburg CISD as a head baker until her retirement. Hermila was a member of Capilla San Jose Church in Lull, and was an ACTS sister in Christ member. She had the most infectious, loving smile that would light up any room. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jose Rodriguez Sr.; son, Thomas Rodriguez; parents, Luis and Leonor Delgado; two brothers, Onesimo and Roberto Delgado.
Mrs. Rodriguez is survived by her two sons, Jose (Sandra) Rodriguez Jr., Roman (Janie) Rodriguez; two grandchildren, Michael Thomas Rodriguez, Mark Anthony Rodriguez; seven siblings, Margarita Salas, Mauro (Noelia) Delgado, Juan (Lucy) Delgado, Rodolfo (Diana) Delgado, Luis (Carmen) Delgado Jr., Rachel (J.R.) Gaitan, Gloria (Isaac) Santos; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary Thursday, June 1, 2023, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg.
A Memorial mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 2, 2023, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
