CELERINO NAVA DIAZ
SAN JUAN - Celerino Nava Diaz, 63, died Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at his residence in San Juan.
Born in Santo Domingo, SLP, Mexico, Mr. Diaz had lived in San Juan most of his life and was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. He enjoyed hunting and playing bingo.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Evangelina Bravo; a brother, Antonio Diaz; and a sister, Manuela Torres.
Mr. Diaz is survived by his wife, Candelaria Diaz; four children, Hector Diaz, Griselda (Sergio) Espinoza, Manuela (Jose A.) Garcia and Alva Nydia Diaz, all of San Juan; six grandchildren, Cassandra Espinoza, Sergio A. Espinoza, Jr., Luis Espinoza, Kayla Espinoza, Daniela Ortiz and J. Manuel Garcia; four brothers, Efren Diaz of Alamo, Herminio Bravo, Jr. of Lake Jackson, Texas, Uvaldo Bravo of San Juan and Felimon Bravo of Austin, Texas; three sisters, Margarita De La Cruz, Sofia Casarez, both of San Juan, Sylvia Bravo of San Antonio, Texas; and his stepfather, Herminio Bravo, Sr. of San Juan.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 9 pm with a 7 pm rosary, today, April 23, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 2 pm, Friday, April 24, 2009 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment will follow at Webber Cemetery in Donna.
