Cynthia S. Diaz, 50, passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg.
Cynthia was born in Bakersfield, CA., she was employed at Edinburg CISD, a devoted Catholic, involved in several church ministries including ACTS, Cursillo, Confraternity of the Rosary, and a Eucharist Minister.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Manuel Sanchez and Rafaela Mares; maternal grandparents, Jose and Aurora Soto; paternal grandmother, Esperanza Vasquez Murillo.
Mrs. Diaz is survived by her husband, Javier Diaz; three children, Yecenia (Anthony) Bozeman, Angelisa Diaz, Nadia Elisa Diaz; six siblings, Aurora (Loly) Sanchez, Manuel Sanchez Jr., Brenda Sanchez, Glenda Sanchez, Manuel Sanchez Jr. III, Michael Sanchez; niece, Jada Helems; nephew, Christopher Helems; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary, Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
