ESTHER P. DIAZ SAN ISIDRO - Esther P. Diaz, 72, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family on Saturday, April 19, 2014, in Edinburg, TX. Mrs. Diaz lived in San Isidro, TX all of her life. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Alicia Garza; a granddaughter, Sierra Cerda; her mother, Maria Concepcion Pantoja; and two brothers, Isidro and Jose Pantoja. Esther is survived by her husband, Jose Tito Diaz of San Isidro; six children, Ernestina Lopez of Pharr, Joe (Rosa) Diaz, Josie (+Juan) Mills, Diana (David) Uballe, Martha (Sergio) Cerda, all of Edinburg, Esther (Branch) Allen of McAllen; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; seven siblings, Maria Elena Pantoja of McAllen, Jesus Pantoja of Donna, Elvira Garcia of San Isidro, Enrique Pantoja of Houston, TX, Raquel Maldonado of McAllen, Romeo Pantoja of Edinburg, and Norma Garza of McAllen. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, April 22, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
