JUANITA MOYA DIAZ

EDINBURG – Juanita Moya Diaz, 86, died Tuesday, November 23, 2010, at Solara Hospital in McAllen.

Born in Fowlerton, Texas, Ms. Diaz had lived in Edinburg most of her life and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

She is preceded in death by a son, Alberto Diaz; and her husband, Jesus Sanchez Diaz.

Ms. Diaz is survived by three daughters, Yolanda (Jesus) D. Luna, Irma D. Cantu, Elva (Jesus) D. Zapata all of Edinburg; two sons, Antonio (Rebecca) Diaz of Edinburg, Arturo (Melanie) Diaz of Houston, Texas; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Trinidad Garza, of McAllen, Frances Marez, of San Antonio, Texas, Edith Drickerson, of Mission, Aurora Garcia, of Morton, Texas; two half brothers, Basilio Cavazos, Jose Cavazos; and two half-sisters, Dora Cavazos and Alicia Cavazos.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, November 25, 2010, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, November 26, 2010, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
