MARIA E. DOMINGUEZ
EDINBURG - Maria E. Dominguez, 71, died Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg.
Mrs. Dominguez was born in Weslaco and had lived in Edinburg for 30 years. Maria was a loving and giving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Noe and Maria were to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on December 31, 2011. Maria always put others, especially her family, before herself. She accomplished so much, but none as important as raising her children and loving her grandchildren. After being diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia, a rare bone marrow disease, 10 1/2 years ago, Maria constantly maintained a positive attitude and lived life to the fullest. She never let her illness slow her down. She will dearly be missed. The family would like to thank all her doctors, nurses, and staff that cared for her at M.D. Anderson, Doctors Hospital at Renaissance and Solara Hospital at Cornerstone. We especially would like to thank all our friends and family that have helped and supported us throughout the years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Nazario and Herminia Garcia and two brothers.
Mrs. Dominguez is survived by her husband, Noe Dominguez; two daughters, Marina Dominguez of Edinburg and Diana Dominguez of Mcallen; two granddaughters, Alexandria and Laurynn Dominguez; six sisters; two brothers.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, November 24 , 2011, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Friday, November 25, 2011, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
