ANITA S. DOTY
EDINBURG - Anita S. Doty, 80, died Monday, July 4, 2011, at Retama Manor in Edinburg. Born in San Antonio, Texas and formerly of Elsa, she had lived in Edinburg for the past 40 years.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest M. Doty; and her parents, Tomas San Miguel and Anita Salas.
Mrs. Doty is survived by three children, Francisco S. (Alicia) Garza of Elsa, Lionor G. "Noni" (Juan Carlos "JC") Salazar of Edinburg, James M. Doty, of Houston, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Jesus V. Tellez, of San Antonio, Texas, Manuel Tellez, of Edinburg, Eustorgio Salas, of Elsa; two nieces and four nephews.
Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Thursday, July 7, 2011, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Cremation will take place at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
