DR. ABRAM "AB" ESTRADA

SAN JUAN - Dr. Abram “AB” Estrada, 44, passed away on November 26, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on October 12, 1980, to Alfredo + and Maria De La Luz Estrada, Abram was a man defined by determination, passion, and an enduring commitment to his family and goals.

Abram married the love of his life and greatest supporter, Ellie Nicole, on June 25, 2010. Together, they built a beautiful life centered around their two beloved daughters, Adanai Elliesha and Abrie Ezraella. A devoted husband and father, Abram took pride in training and coaching his daughters, instilling his “Work harder” mantra into their lives, encouraging them to always strive for excellence in sports and beyond.

Abram accomplished many of his personal and professional goals during his lifetime. He earned his Master’s degree in Special Education and a PhD in Cognition and Instruction from Grand Canyon University. One of his proudest achievements was becoming a Superintendent of Schools, a role that reflected his dedication to education and his desire to create opportunities for others to succeed.

Abram was a passionate advocate for both education and faith, and he worked tirelessly to instill those values in his daughters. He believed in the power of education to change lives and in faith as a guiding light for success and resilience. Even in his short time, Abram left an indelible mark on his family, ensuring these principles would shape their futures.

A devoted Texas Longhorns and New York Yankees fan, Abram also enjoyed playing golf and spending time with friends. Known as the life of the party, he brought joy, humor, and energy to every gathering. Above all, he cherished his role as a husband, father, brother, son, uncle, and friend.

Abram is survived by his loving wife, Ellie Nicole; his daughters, Adanai Elliesha and Abrie Ezraella; and his mother, Maria De La Luz Estrada. He also leaves behind his brothers, Joe (Edith) Estrada, Abel (Monica) Estrada, and Arrian Eric Estrada; his nieces and nephews, Darren (Andrea), Layla, Heaven, Faith, Antwon, Jasmine, Natasha, Brittany, Sebastian, Olivia, Julius, and Jayce; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Gianna Rylynn, Jadynn, Milo, Sebastian, Romeo, and Sofia.

Dr. Abram’s legacy of hard work, love for family, devotion to faith, and belief in the transformative power of education will continue to inspire all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the incredible mark he left on this world

Visitation will begin at 4 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary, Sunday, December 1, 2024, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, December 2, 2024, at St. Anne Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will take place at San Juan Cemetery. 

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
