DOROTHY MAY DUFOUR EDINBURG - Dorothy May Dufour, 89, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, December 25, 2013, at Legends Transitional Care Center in McAllen. Born in McKenzie, Tennessee, Mrs. Dufour had lived in Edinburg all of her life and was employed by Pan American University for 22 years. She was very active with St. Joseph Catholic Church and School, 4H and FFA programs for both her children and grandchildren, and was an active supporter of the Rio Grande Valley Food Bank. Dorothy was very family oriented and lived a full and beautiful life. She is preceded in death by her husband, CJ "Dick" Dufour. Dorothy is survived by four daughters, Laura (Robert) Crist, of Lake Hills, Texas, Adell Dufour, of Edinburg, Norma (Ralph) Perez, of Friendswood, Texas, Jody (Osvaldo Jr.) Longoria, of Edinburg; five grandchildren, Justin (Glenda) Longoria, Brandi Crist, Stephanie (Dustin) Self, Kyle Longoria, Aaron Perez; and a great-grandson, Luke Joseph Longoria. Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, December 27, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Memorial mass will take place at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, December 28, 2013, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment of cremated remains will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to St. Joseph Church and School. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
