EDINBURG – Heriberto Eguia, 80, died Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at his residence in Edinburg.
Born in Dr. Arroyo, Nuevo Leon, he had lived in Edinburg for 45 years and was a member of Nueva Vida Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Valentin and Felicitas Eguia; and two children, Yolanda Eguia and Natalio Eguia.
Heriberto is survived by his wife, Maria Francisca Eguia; nine children, Heriberto Eguia Jr., Francisco Eguia, Rosa Maria Gomez, Yolanda E. Gonzalez, Jose Juan Eguia, Jose Luis Eguia, Rigoberto Eguia, Maria Alicia Eguia, and Dina Linda Garcia; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service today, October 27, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, October 28, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
