PHARR - Cecilia Y. Elizondo, 86, died Monday, September 12, 2011, at her residence in Pharr.
Born in Luling, Texas, Mrs. Elizondo had lived in Pharr most of her life and was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Pharr.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Guadalupe Elizondo.
Mrs. Elizondo is survived by two daughters, Petra Guzman, of Pharr, Nicolasa Valdivia, of California; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ramona Barrera, of Wharton, Texas.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, September 13, 2011, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 14, 2011, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
