ELOISA “WIZZIE” HUERTA MACAL

EDINBURG – Eloisa “Wizzie” Huerta Macal, 72, passed away Friday, September 13, 2024, at her residence in Edinburg. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; Adolfo Huerta and Maria Adela D. Huerta; three siblings, Maria De Jesus Gutierrez, Gloria Minerva Zapata, and Hilario Huerta.

Mrs. Huerta Macal is survived by her husband, Merardo Macal; four siblings, Remigio Huerta, Abelardo Huerta, Lare Huerta Mijangos, Adela Huerta; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. prayer service, Monday, September 16, 2024, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Calvary Baptist Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission.

The family is requesting that everyone in attendance please wear white to the services.

As per the family's request in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Kindney Foundation. 

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
