FRANCISCO ESCAMILLA, JR. ALAMO – Francisco Escamilla, Jr., 78, loving father and husband, was called to his eternal rest on Sunday, November 2, 2014, at his residence in Alamo. He is preceded in death by his parents, Francisco and Josefa Escamilla; two brothers, Jesus and Amador Escamilla. Mr. Escamilla is survived by his wife, Isabel Escamilla of Alamo; two sons (and spouses), George (Ines) Ramirez of Weslaco, TX., and Ruben (Dana) Escamilla of League City, TX.; two daughters, Anabel (Robert) Gomez of Katy, TX., and Sally (Paul) Couvillon of League City, TX; seven grandchildren, Isabelle (Joel) Adame, George Ramirez, Anabel (Jose) Lozada, Brandon Gomez, Jonathon Escamilla, Jacob Couvillon and Jared Couvillon; two great-grandchildren, Skye Adame and Kaia Lozada; and three siblings, Ruben Escamilla, Sara Escamilla and Irma Turrubiate. Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Thursday, November 6, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 9:30 a.m. Friday, November 7, 2014, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
