ENRIQUETA ESCOBAR
SAN JUAN – Enriqueta Escobar, 90, died Saturday, August 27, 2011, at San Juan Nursing Home.
Mrs. Escobar was born in Mexico and had lived in San Juan all of her life.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jose Escobar; two sons, Ramiro Escobar, Guadalupe Escobar; a daughter, Juanita Ruiz; three sons-in-law, Pedro M. Barrientes, Guadalupe Rodriguez, Jesus Guerrero; and three grandchildren.
Mrs. Escobar is survived by nine children, Cruz Diaz, Felipe (Maria Elena) Escobar, Jose (Rosalinda) Escobar, Jr., Rafaela (Juvel) Fernandez, Aviel (Rosa) Escobar, all of San Juan, Rosa Barrientes, of San Carlos, Aurora Rodriguez, of Pharr, Soila (Jose) Torres, of Alamo, Elvira (Ruben) Sanchez, of Edinburg; two daughters-in-law, Herlinda Escobar, Viviana Escobar, both of Pharr; a son-in-law, Ricardo Ruiz, of San Juan; 59 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Anastacio De Los Angeles, of San Juan.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 pm, with a 7 pm prayer service Monday, August 29, 2011, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 2 pm Tuesday, August 30, 2011, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
