Jorge Escobedo

JORGE ESCOBEDO LAS VEGAS/DONNA – Jorge Escobedo, 56, died Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at his residence in Las Vegas. Born in San Juan, Jorge had lived in Las Vegas since 1996 and was formerly of Donna. He is preceded in death by a brother, Francisco Escobedo; and his parents, Eulogio and Rosa Escobedo. Jorge is survived by his wife, Maria Escobedo; three sons, Apolinar (Melissa) Escobedo, Danny Lee Escobedo, Jorge Escobedo Jr.; a granddaughter, Madison Riley Escobedo, all of Las Vegas; three brothers, Juan Escobedo, of San Antonio, Narciso Escobedo and Eulogio Escobedo, both of Donna; a sister, Lydia Escobedo, of Alamo; seven sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; his father and mother-in-law, Guadalupe and Ildifonsa Orozco; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Monday, April 20, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Cremation will take place at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Interment of cremated remains will take place at a later date. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
