ILDEFONSO ESCOBEDO, JR.
EDINBURG – Ildefonso, Jr., 65, passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021 at his residence in Edinburg.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Margarita I. Escobedo; grandparents, Jose H. and Adriana S. Escobedo; a brother-in-law, Jose Hernandez; and several aunts and uncles.
Ildefonso is survived by his loving wife, San Juana; five children, Cynthia Garcia, Maria Luisa Palomo, Esteban, Ariel, and Violeta Escobedo; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; five stepchildren, Adan, Jose Carlos, Jose de Jesus, Daniel, and Luis Garza; his father, Ildefonso Escobedo, Sr.; siblings, Eleazar (Rebecca), Adriana (Joe+) Hernandez, Hector (Maricela), Leticia, David (Belinda), and Eduardo (girlfriend Cynthia Munoz).
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary Thursday, April 15, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, April 16, 2021, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
