Luis Gonzaga Escobedo, Sr.

LUIS GONZAGA ESCOBEDO, SR.
ALAMO - Luis G. Escobedo Sr., 76, entered eternal rest Friday, November 19, 2021, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in Lockney, Texas, Mr. Escobedo had lived in Alamo most of his life and was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Elias Escobedo and Virginia Landa Escobedo; a brother, Juan Vidales; and a sister, Hilda Gomez.
Mr. Escobedo is survived by his wife of 51 years, San Juanita Escobedo; three children, Luis (Sulema) Escobedo Jr., Roberto Alvarez (Veronica) Escobedo, Alma (Evaristo) Ramos; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Feliciano Gomez and Maria Gomez.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 12 noon Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Pallbearers will be Fernando Mancias, Raymond Mancias, Samuel Escobedo, Julian Mancias, Rodolfo Reyes, and Evaristo Ramos.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
