EDINBURG – Esequiel Gamez, 86, died Wednesday, November 18, 2015, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg.
Born in San Luis Potosi, MX, Mr. Gamez had lived in Edinburg most of his life. He was a very hardworking man who worked in agriculture all his life. Mr. Gamez was a very responsible father and never gave up through the tough times.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Dalia Gamez.
Mr. Gamez is survived by 16 children, George (Laura) Santos, Olga (Horacio) Vargas, Elena (Jerry) Aguirre, Lydia (Rusty) Hall, Evangelina (Carlos) Reyes, Mary Jane (Silvestre, Jr.) Vargas, Mary Lou Botello, Hector Gamez, Leo (Laura) Gamez, Rosie Gamez, Juan (Maria) Gamez, Luis (Juana) Gamez, Aurelio (Antonia) Gamez, Daniel (Lauren) Gamez, Casimida Gamez, Feliciano (Ofelia) Gamez; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service Friday, November 20, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, November 21, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
