Alma B. Espinoza

Alma B. Espinoza, 79, passed away Monday, December 5, 2022, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.
Alma (Mina) Espinoza operated "Humpty Dumpty Playhouse" in Pharr, TX for many years. Children were her life. Mina was a humble lady with a heart of gold. She had a special gift for making people smile and feel loved. She had a passion for home décor and loved to decorate her home for every occasion and holiday. She enjoyed sharing that gift with others by offering to decorate your home as well. Mina was as creative and resourceful as anyone. She had a drawer full of problem-solving tools and gadgets. Ask her for anything and she probably had it in her tool drawer. We will miss you dearly.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Gilberto Espinoza; parents, Eusebio and Guadalupe Benavidez; two brothers; and three sisters.
Mrs. Espinoza is survived by her two children, Gilbert Espinoza Jr, Illeana (Rogelio) Rivera; three grandchildren, Gilbert Espinoza III, Jacob Espinoza, Isaiah Roman Rivera; two siblings, Guadalupe "Peter" Guerra, Elva Kimbrel; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary Monday, December 12, 2022, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at St Jude Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
At the request of the family, face coverings will be required in the chapel.
