JOSEPHINE M. ESPINOZA ALAMO - Josephine M. Espinoza entered eternal rest on May 25, 2013, to be with her Lord and also to walk hand in hand for eternity with her beloved husband, Ramon Espinoza. She was born in Glidden, Texas on January 24, 1924, and moved to Lorain, Ohio in 1926. She graduated from Lorain High School in 1943 and worked at the Weitz Co. and Lorain Products; retiring in 1981 and moving to Alamo, Texas. Josephine gave unconditionally to various catholic charities and was a devout catholic. She was an avid collector of Shirley Temple memorabilia. She is preceded in death by her devoted husband of 38 years, Ramon Espinoza; her parents, Natividad Mendez and Felicitas Mendez (Silva); a sister, Mary Palmer, of Lorain, Ohio; a brother, Joseph; and her grandmother, Maria Tobar, who raised her family. Mrs. Espinoza is survived by her twin sister, Jessi Arizmendi, of Lemon Grove, California; two brothers, Frank Mendez, of Miami, Florida and Jose J. Mendez, of Monterrey, California; an orphan whom she sponsored, Dennis, of Zambia, Africa; and many nieces and nephews in Texas, Ohio, Florida, and California. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment of cremated remains will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain, Ohio at a later date. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
