MIGUEL ESPINOZA PHARR — Miguel Espinoza, 87, died Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen, surrounded by his loving family. Don Miguel had worked for Northwestern Steel and Wire Co. for over 28 years prior to his retirement. Born in Durango, Mexico, he lived in Pharr since 1988 and was formerly of Sterling, IL. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean War. He is preceded in death by his wife, Josefina Espinoza; two stepsons, Enrique and Jesus Gutierrez; his parents, Maclovio and Castula Espinoza-Nevarez; a brother, Raul Espinoza-N.; and a sister, Rosa Espinoza-N. Mr. Espinoza is survived by six grandchildren, Henry (Maxine) of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, Juan Oscar (Vickie) of Dixon, IL, Michael (Julieanne) of Apache Junction, Arizona, Ruben (Letty) of Rock Falls, IL, Linda Sifuentes of Pharr, Texas, Mireya (Edgar) Soliz of Corpus Christi, Texas; 12 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Maclovio and Hector Espinoza-Nevarez, both of Durango, Mexico. A rosary was held Friday, May 22, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 23, 2015, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
