Jerry Allen Estopy

Jerry Allen Estopy, 80, died December 2, 2022 at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance, surrounded by family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Gail Estopy.
Jerry is survived by his wife Carmen Maria Estopy, daughter Keela (Frank) Young, daughter Holly Rodriguez (Alfons Unsinn), step-daughter Bobbie Bortoni (Mark) Fadel, and step-son Manuel (AnaCecilia) Bortoni, along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a brother Gaylon (Linda) Estopy.
Jerry was born August 6, 1942 in Rector, Arkansas into a family of farmers. In high school, he was president of the school's chapter of Future Farmers of America, and upon graduation he pursued his passion and farmed his entire life in the Rio Grande Valley and in Mexico.
In addition to farming, Jerry loved building and repairing farm equipment, helping friends and neighbors, animals, and country music. After a hot day, he enjoyed unwinding and cooling off while sitting outside with his wife and their pets.
Vistiaton wil be held from 4 to 8 p.m. witha a 6 p.m. prayer service Thursday, December 8, 2022, at Memorial Funeral Home, located at 208 E. Canton Rd. in Edinburg,
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Gail Estopy.
