MARIA G. ESTRADA PHARR – Maria G. Estrada, 75, died Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. Ms. Estrada was born in San Juan and had live in Alamo for the past 10 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Simon and Marcos Estrada. Ms. Estrada is survived by her daughter, Esmeralda (Esteban) Soto, of Alamo; four grandchildren, Chantelle Soto, Esteban Soto, Jr., Emmitt Soto, Emmanuel Soto, all of Alamo; a great-grandchild, Daniel Jayden Pacheco; two sisters, Margarita Hernandez, of Indio, California and Candelaria Estrada, of San Juan. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, June 14, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
