MARJORIE MAURINE BAIR FLANAGAN EDINBURG - Marjorie Maurine Bair Flanagan, 82, went home to be with our Heavenly Father Wednesday, August 13, 2014, peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones. Marjorie was born on December 10, 1931 in Edinburg. She is described by family and friends as loving, caring, compassionate, and always thinking of others before herself. In 1954 Margie married Neal, the love of her life. Margie had a great sense of humor and patience while raising seven children. Margie lived and served in her community her whole life, 25 years as a teacher in ECISD, and was a faithful and dedicated member of First United Methodist Church in Edinburg. She is preceded in death by her husband, Neal Flanagan; a son, Kelly Edgar; her parents, Lee and Dorothy Bair; and two brothers, Howard and Jimmy Bair. Margie is survived by six children, Kevin Flanagan (Steve Hidalgo), Ken Flanagan (Dana Anthony), Kathy (†Jerry) Salazar, Kimberly (Forrest) Wilson, Kyle Flanagan, Karrie Flanagan; 12 grandchildren, Taylor (Andrea) and Travis (Holly) Duncan, DK (Debra) Flanagan, Lyle and Logan Anthony, Katie and Sal Salazar, Autumn and Brooke Wilson, Ryann Flanagan, Mariah and Hannah Gentry; two great-grandchildren, Kiley Salazar and Debra Flanagan; a brother, Dwayne (Shirley) Bair; and a sister-in-law, Jo Ann Bair. A celebration of life will be held in honor of Margie's life at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 23, 2014, at First United Methodist Church, 3707 W. University in Edinburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Margie's name to First United Methodist Church in Edinburg. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
