AMINTA ESTELLA FLORES
ALAMO – Aminta Estella Flores, 80, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at Comfort House in McAllen.
Aminta began her life by graduating early from high school. She then married her sweetheart Jose B. Flores Jr. and they had three daughters and one son. Aminta devoted her time to civic groups HWNT, and her sorority Beta Sigma Phi. She was employed at Alamo Palms Resort Post Office.
Aminta was loved and admired by many. Her life was composed of helping others. She was always available for a quick prayer or a cross that she would bless your forehead with in times of trouble. Margarita was her black pug whom she adored. Mrs. Flores was known for her sweet stories and her absolutely captivating smile. She will be remembered for all her generosity. Her youngest daughter has opened a scholarship in her name through HWNT group. The scholarship “Aminta Estella Flores” will assist a young lady with $1,000 dollars to pursue her dreams after high school graduation. Mrs. Flores will be forever remembered and never forgotten. Her legacy lives on forever.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jose Baldemar Flores Jr.; and a son, David Ray Flores.
Mrs. Flores is survived by her three daughters, Norma Elisa (Ram) Garcia, Brenda Marie (Luz) Gonzalez, Laura Estella (Mike) Weaver; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she loved with all her soul. She left an amazing legacy and will be missed dearly.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. chapel service, Monday, November 28, 2022, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
