ESTELA GARCIA FLORES
PHARR – Estela Garcia Flores, 79, died Friday, September 3, 2010, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.
Born in Alamo, Mrs. Flores had lived in Pharr most of her life and was a member of La Trinidad Methodist Church in Pharr.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Noe Flores; her parents, Pedro and Inocencia Garcia.
Mrs. Flores is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth (Victor) Perez and Ruby Mae Flores both of Alamo; a son, Marvin (Cynthia) Flores of San Antonio, Texas; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Armando (Armantina) Garcia, Santos (Esperanza) Garcia and Eduardo (Cynthia) Garica all of Alamo; five sisters, Ruberta Garcia, Linda (Rogelio) Navarro, Elisa (Alejandro) Rivera, Elva (Isabel) Mendoza all of Alamo, Elida (Isabel) Lopez of Tulares, California; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service today, September 5, 2010, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, September 6, 2010, at La Trinidad Methodist Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Alamo.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
