JOEL “JOELITO” FLORES, JR. PHARR — On Thursday, July 18, 2013, our Heavenly Father called his angel Joel "Joelito" Flores, Jr. home. Joelito was a very happy and active 4 year old who was loved by all, especially his parents Joel and Criselda Flores. He was their only child and the light of their lives. Joelito loved his parents, family and all his friends dearly. He loved his parents so much he couldn’t wait to meet them, so Joelito came into the world 8 weeks early. He only weighed 3pounds when he was born but grew to be a very healthy and smart boy. Joelito loved playing soccer and loved boxing. Joelito was attending Pre-K at the Oratory Academy of St. Philip Neri in Pharr where he will be dearly missed by his friends and faculty. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Sergio David Rincon; and paternal grandfather, Roberto Flores. Joelito is survived by his parents, Joel and Criselda Flores; maternal grandmother, Criselda Rincon, of Pharr; paternal grandmother, Dolores Quesada, of Mission; two uncles, Sergio David Rincon, Jr., of Pharr, Roberto (Rubisela) Flores, of Mission; maternal great-grandmother, Cristina Estevis, of Pharr; and two cousins, Roberto and Roel Flores. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, July 21, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral mass will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, July 22, 2013, at St. Jude's Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in McAllen. Pallbearers will be Joel Flores, Sergio D. Rincon, Jr., Roberto Flores and Carlos Rincon. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
