Maria Elva Flores

MARIA E. FLORES ALAMO – Maria E. Flores, 66, died Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at McAllen Heart Hospital. Born in Monte Alto, Mrs. Flores was formerly of Alamo and resided in San Juan for the past three years. She was a loving wife, and a caring mother who enjoyed taking care of her family, especially her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Roberto and Maria Almazan; and a sister, Yolanda Armendariz. Mrs. Flores is survived by her husband of 46 years, Reynaldo Flores Sr. of Alamo; eight children, Reynaldo Flores Jr. of Edinburg, Maribel Telles of Harlingen, Yvonne Bautista of Houston, Texas, Sonia Flores of Donna, Jose Roberto Flores of Edinburg, Stephanie Flores of San Juan, Joseph Daniel Flores of Alamo, and Jorge Flores of San Juan; 18 grandchildren; a brother; four sisters; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, June 28, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 29, 2012, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Cremation will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
