EDINBURG- Pedro Flores, 64, went home to our Lord Monday, June 12, 2017, at Doctors Hospital in Renaissance in Edinburg.
Born in Edinburg and retired, he was a 30 year resident of Joliet, IL. Pedro was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. In his free time he enjoyed fishing and BBQ’s with family and friends. He was a hardworking man that devoted his life to his wife and children always with positive attitude and a smile. His good sense of humor and charisma will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Pedro is survived by his wife of 47 years, Maria Magdalena Flores of Edinburg; seven children, Pedro Flores, Jr. of Peoria, IL, Leonor (Nazario) Vasquez, Maria Margarita Ramirez, both of Aurora, IL, Carlos Alberto (Laura) Flores of Minooka, IL, Jose Luis (Alisa) Flores of Hampden, ME, Laura Flores of Aurora, IL, Vanessa (Bobby) Villarreal of Edinburg; 20 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with an 11 a.m. funeral service Monday, June 19, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Edinburg.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to the American Heart Association at www.donatenow.heart.org.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Edinburg.
