Simon Flores Jr.

SIMON FLORES, JR. SAN JUAN - Simon Flores, Jr., 57, died Sunday, November 30, 2014, at his residence in San Juan. Mr. Flores had lived in San Juan for 12 years and formerly from Pharr. He was employed as a bus driver by P-SJ-A ISD for 15 years. He is preceded in death by his father, Simon Flores, Sr.; two brothers, Gumaro Flores and Jose Flores; and two sisters, Maria Olga Flores and Ernestina Flores. Mr. Flores is survived by five children, Señia Rodriguez, Roel Salinas, both of San Juan, Laura L. Medina of Salado, TX, Simon Flores, III of Alamo and Sandra Vasquez of Pharr; 19 grandchildren; his mother, Margarita Muniz Flores of Pharr; three brothers, Luis Flores, Arturo Flores, Jorge Flores, all of Pharr; and four sisters, Nora Garcia, Martha Lydia Tamez, Olga Valdez and Veronica Rodriguez, all of Pharr. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Tuesday, December 2, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m., Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
