FRANCISCO ROEL “FRANKIE” TREVINO 

EDINBURG– Francisco Roel Trevino, 35, passed away Friday, December 27, 2024, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center. 

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jose Maria and Margarita V. Trevino; maternal grandfather, Moises Molina; aunt, Delia Otila Molina; and uncle, Jose Maria Trevino Jr. 

Frankie is survived by his parents, Francisco and Sobeyda Trevino; three sisters, Kristen (Albert) Alvarez, Erika (Dylan) Garrison, Claryssa (Mark Espinoza) Trevino; three nephews, Lucas Mateo Alvarez, Evan Michael Alvarez, Ryder Westin Garrison; maternal grandmother, Delia A. Molina; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

Though his time with us was only 35 years, his impact was boundless. He touched the lives of everyone who met him, leaving a lasting impression of warmth and love. Loved by all, he was the light of his mother's and father's lives, a source of boundless joy and pride. To his sisters, he was a teacher of strength and courage, showing them how to navigate life with resilience. His disability was truly his unique ability, and he used it to inspire and uplift everyone around him. 

His family would like to express their deepest gratitude to his doctor, Dr. G. Scott Johnson, for 35 years of compassionate care, and his caretaker, Mari De Anda, for her unwavering love and dedication, as well as to South Texas Health Systems Hospitals and medical staff for their exceptional support, kindness, and attentive care throughout his life. 

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary Monday, December 30, 2024, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission. 

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
