Rogelio G. Franco Sr.

ROGELIO G. FRANCO, SR. PHARR – Rogelio G. Franco, Sr. 76, died Tuesday, September 2, 2014, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. Born in Pharr, he had lived there all of his life. He is preceded in death by his wife, Victoria Perez Franco; parents, Jose and Guadalupe Franco; and a sister, Dora Moreno. Mr. Franco is survived by two sons, Rogelio (Lillian) Franco, Jr. of San Antonio, Robert Franco of Pharr; one daughter, Nella (Rick) Escobar of Pharr; five grandchildren, Victoria A. Garza of McAllen, Roy A. Franco, Brandon X. Franco, Rainey S. Franco, and Hailey A. Franco, all of San Antonio; a great-granddaughter, Alessandra A. Garza; two sisters, Hilda (David) Salinas of Donna and Graciela (Jorge) Salinas of Mission. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, September 4, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, September 5, 2014, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Military honors will be conducted by VFW Post 7473 of Elsa. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
