PHARR – Elizabeth Barbosa Fuentes, 86, died Friday, July 1, 2022, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Maria Barbosa; and a granddaughter, Lizette Christine Fuentes.
Mrs. Fuentes is survived by her husband, Abraham Herrera Fuentes, Sr.; four children, Deliminio Fuentes, Sr., Eliud (Blanca) Fuentes, Nelda Fuentes, and Abraham (Zinnia) Fuentes, Jr.; 14 grandchildren, Deliminio Fuentes, Jr., Michelle Craven, Justin Clyde Fuentes, Priscilla Vasquez, Joseph Fuentes, Austin Fuentes, Andrew Fuentes, Alex Fuentes, Christian Eliud Fuentes, Stetson Fuentes, Nayeli Ayala, Gerardo Ayala, Victoria Jean Lopez, James E. Lopez; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ebenezer (Dora) Barbosa; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. prayer service Monday, July 4, 2022, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Guadalupe Cemetery in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
