Marcela G. Castillo, 86, went home to our Lord, Thursday, December 21, 2017, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg.
Marcela had lived most of her life in Edinburg.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Blas and Leonor Garza; six siblings, Leonides Garza, Leonides Garza, Blas Garza Jr., Alfredo Garza, Juan De Dios Garza, Javier Garza.
Marcela is survived by her loved husband, Joe Castillo; a son, Joe (Pat) Castillo Jr. of Corpus Christi; a daughter, Odette Castillo of Edinburg; two grandchildren, Marisa and Andres; five siblings, Leonor Pena of Penitas, Amelia Barrera, Corina Montalvo, both of Dimmit, TX, Eloy Garza and Jaime Garza, both of Garciaville, TX.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Tuesday, December 26, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
