MARTINA GALVAN
PHARR - Martina Galvan, 72, died Saturday, January 15, 2011, at Comfort House in McAllen.
Born in Rio Verde, San Luis Potosi, Mexico, Ms. Galvan had lived in Pharr most of her life and was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Pharr.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Antonio Galvan and her second husband, Tomas Manjarez.
Ms. Galvan is survived by two sons, Francisco Antonio Galvan, of Pharr, Rolando Javier Galvan, of Brownsville; a daughter, Rosalinda G. (Alex) Diaz, of Sharyland; two granddaughters, Alessandra and Andrea Diaz; a sister, Belen Garza, of Pharr; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 pm, with a 7 pm rosary today, January 16, 2011, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 2 pm Monday, January 17, 2011 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Comfort House, 617 Dallas, McAllen, TX 78501.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
