ERNESTINA T. GAONA
EDINBURG – Ernestina T. Gaona, 64, died Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at her residence in Edinburg.
Born in McAllen, Mrs. Gaona formerly lived in California for 30 years; and had lived in Edinburg for the passed eight years of her life.
She is preceded in death by her, father, Tomas Torres; a grandson, Jesse “Little” Gutierrez; and a sister, Isabel Torres.
Mrs. Gaona is survived by her husband, Ramiro Gaona of Edinburg; seven children, Mario (Tina) Gaona, Ramiro (Yesenia) Gaona, Jr. and Dora (Olegario) Islas all of Oxnard, Califorina, Alberto Gaona and Tammy Gaona both of Edinburg, and Javier (Bernice) Gaona and Mark (Cindy) Gaona both of San Juan; 21 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; her mother, Guadalupe Torres of San Juan; her mother-in-law, Simona Gaona of Edinburg; three sister, San Juanita Cruz and Hilda Ramirez both of San Juan, and Trma Camal of Holland, Michigan; two brothers, Eleno Torres of Holland, Michigan and Andres Torres of McAllen and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary today, March 13, 2010, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Cremation will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
