JERRY GAONA EDINBURG – Jerry Gaona, 38, died Saturday, May 9, 2015, at his residence in Edinburg. Born in McAllen, Jerry had lived in Edinburg all of his life. He was a great father, son and brother who loved spending time with his family and making people laugh. Jerry was a member of the Thunder Riders of Edinburg. He loved riding his bike as well as hunting and fishing on his free time. Jerry is survived by four sons, Andrew Gaona, Matthew Gaona, Nicolas Gaona, Isaiah Gaona; his parents, Ernesto Gaona and Maria C. Gaona, all of Edinburg; three sisters, Nora Alicia Gaona, Roselda (Jose Israel) Hernandez, both of McAllen, Maria Elena (Noe) Gonzalez of Edinburg; two nieces, five nephews; three great-nieces; and a great-nephew. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 14, 2015, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
