GUADALUPE "GUALE" GARCES, SR.
EDINBURG – Guadalupe "Guale" Garces Sr., 73, died, Thursday, December 30, 2010, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in Edinburg, Mr. Garces had lived there all of his life and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Maria Ernestina "Tina" Garces; and his parents, Felipe and Graciana Garces.
Mr. Garces is survived by five children, Guadalupe (Araceli) Garces, Jr., Maria Del Rosario "Marie" Carmona, Norma Garces, Ramiro (Mary) Garces, Sr. all of Edinburg, Graciana (Tony Bell) Garces of Humble, Texas; 15 grandchildren, Guadalupe "Lupito" III, Tina Marie, Javier "JC", Joseph, Ram Jr., Bianca, Robbie, Reanna, Zyenna, Edgar (Amy), Brooklyn, Adrian, Ivan, Chris III, Alex; a sister, Teodora Garces of Edinburg: a brother, Christobal (Josefa) Garces, Sr. of Edinburg; a niece, Maribel (Ruben) Rodriguez of Round Rock, Texas; two nephews, Christobal (Lupita) Garces, Jr. and Daniel Garces.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 pm today, January 1, 2010 and 3 to 9 pm with a 7 pm rosary Sunday, January 2, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10 am Monday, January 3, 2010, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Pallbearers will be Guadalupe Garces III, Joseph Phillip Garces, Javier "JC" Carmona Jr., Ramiro "Mito" Garces Jr., Robbie Jordan "Guero" Garces and Adrian "Cito" Rodriguez.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
