ALEJANDRO S. GARCIA, SR.
ALAMO - Alejandro S. Garcia, Sr., 76, died Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at his residence in Alamo.
Born in San Juan, Mr. Garcia had lived in Alamo all of his life and was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Petra Ibarra Garcia; a son, Amador Garcia; his parents, Isaac and Eusebia Garcia; and a brother, Santana Garcia.
Mr. Garcia is survived by six children, Alejandro (Sylvia) Garcia of Tucson, Arizona, Celia Garcia of Ft. Worth, Texas, Humberto Garcia, Roel (Sandra) Garcia, both of Alamo, Belia (Eduardo) Salazar of Pharr and Veronica (Juan) Rivera of San Juan; 23 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Esequia Cuevas of Alamo, Maria Castro of Lubbock, Texas and Margarita Flores of Gallatin, Tennessee.
A rosary was held Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 am, today, June 18, 2010 at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Cremation will take placeat Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
