ALICIA G. GARCIA EDINBURG — Alicia G. Garcia, 82, died Sunday, January 11, 2015, at her residence. Born in Edinburg, she had lived there all of her life. She is preceded in death by her parents, Fernando and Maria Santos Garza. Mrs. Garcia is survived by her husband, Joe D. Garcia; three sons, Joe G. (Lupita G.) Garcia, Jesus (Toni G.) Garcia, Jaime (Betty G.) Garcia; two daughters, Alicia (Roberto Perez) Garcia, Susie (Javier) Garcia; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Lupita Garza; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service today, January 12, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 13, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
