CHRISTIAN L. GARCIA
EDINBURG - Christian L. Garcia, 24, went to be with the Lord Thursday, March 10, 2016, at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital in Houston.
Born in Mexico, Christian lived in Edinburg most of his life. He was a loving son and brother. Christian touched many hearts and will always be remembered by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Austrabertha Zuniga; and his paternal grandfather, Juan Garcia Chavez.
Christian is survived by his mother, Sandra Gutierrez of Edinburg; father, Carlos Leon Garcia of Mexico; his step-father, Israel Lopez of Edinburg; three siblings, Juan Carlos Garcia of Edinburg, Michelle Garcia, Emmanuel Garcia, both of Reynosa, Tamps., MX; maternal grandmother, Inez Gutierrez of Edinburg; five uncles, Ray Ramon Torres of Fresno, CA, Fidencio Gutierrez, Omar O. Gutierrez, Eleazar Garza, all of Edinburg and Juan Pablo Garcia of Reynosa, Tamps., MX; two aunts, Gregoria and Liliana Garcia of Reynosa, Tamps., MX; and numerous cousins.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Nicholas Pereira, Dr. George Mallory, Dr. Ben Garza, Dr. Rolando Yarritu, Dr. Sahay Sandeep and all medical staff for the care provided during Christian's illness.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service today, March 14, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
