SAN JUAN/ROMA — Delia B. Garcia, 84, died Saturday, February 27, 2016, at San Juan Nursing Home. She was born in Mathis, Texas and lived in Roma most of her life with the exception of the last 10 years.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Valentin Ovidio Garcia and survived by two daughters, Maria G. Perez of Roma, Alicia Gonzales of North Dakota; two sons, Jesus Garcia of Dallas, Billy Garcia of Roma; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four sisters, Bertha Guerra of Austin, Estella Martinez of Dallas, Maria Lopez of San Antonio, Diana Barrera of Corpus Christi and two brothers, Gustavo Benavides and Rene Benavides, both of Corpus Christi.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 5, 2016, at San Juan Nursing Home Chapel. Interment of cremated remains will be held at a later date.
Funeral Services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
