ELVIRA E. GARCIA
PHARR – Elvira E. Garcia, 88, died Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at her residence in Pharr.
Born in Mission, she had lived in Pharr all of her life.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesus R. Garcia; her parents, Hermelinda and Jose Elizondo; four sisters, Maria Pearce, Josefina Gonzalez, Minerva Cordova, and Olga Galvan; a brother, Martin Elizondo.
Mrs. Garcia is survived by four children, Angela (Leonel) Garza of McAllen, Roberto (Ermelinda) Garcia, Rolando (Benilde) Garcia, and Rogelio (Linda) Garcia all of Pharr; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lucia Alaniz, and Hermelinda Garcia, both of Edinburg; a sister-in-law Idolina Soto of Pharr; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Thursday, June 2, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 9:30 a.m. Friday, June 3, 2016, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
