PHARR - Gilberto Garcia, 56, died Sunday, September 9, 2018, at McAllen Medical Center.
Born in Nuevo Leon, he lived in Pharr most of his life and was a member of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bernabe and Anita Garcia; and four brothers.
Gilberto is survived by his wife, Margarita C. Garcia of Pharr; three children, Jesus (Angelica) Garcia of Mission, Josue "Abram" (Yvonne) Garcia of San Juan, Estela Garcia of Pharr; two granddaughters, Meelah D'nay Garcia and Samantha Grace Garcia; three brothers; and five sisters.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Cremation will take place at Memorial Cremation Center in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
