GUADALUPE S. GARCIA EDINBURG - Guadalupe S. Garcia, 79, died Sunday, March 9, 2014, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Garcia was born in Edinburg and had lived there all of her life. She is preceded in death by her parents, Camilo and Esmerita Silva. Mrs. Garcia is survived by her husband, Presentacion Garcia, of Edinburg; eight children, Dalia (Victor) Reyes, of Edinburg, Baldemar (Nelly) Garcia, of Mission, Rogelio (Norma) Garcia, Mario (Aida) Garcia, Sylvia Garcia, Michael Garcia, all of Edinburg, Reymundo Garcia, of San Antonio and George (Ida) Garcia, of Odem; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three brothers, Israel Silva and Gilberto Silva, both of Edinburg, Jose Oscar Silva, of San Juan; and a sister, Olga S. Herrera, of Edinburg. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Monzer H. Yazji, Dr. Amer Alanbari, Dr. Mahmoud Barazi, and all the staff from the 4th floor at Edinburg Regional Medical Center. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
