Humberto Garcia

HUMBERTO GARCIA EDINBURG – Humberto Garcia, 68, died Sunday, July 6, 2014, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. Humberto was born in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving during The Vietnam War. He retired to Edinburg in 1990. Mr. Garcia is survived by his wife, Karen Garcia, of Edinburg; four children, Martin Garcia, of Williamsburg, VA, Maria Cepeda, Melissa Pedraza, both of Edinburg, Michelle Mullen of Houston, TX; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Lucinda Torres and Flora Garcia Castillo, both of Edinburg; and a brother, Santos Garcia, of Edinburg. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 12 noon Thursday, July 10, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
