ISIDORA “DORA” GARCIA PHARR — Isidora “Dora” Garcia, 75, died Friday, October 18, 2013, at Comfort House in McAllen. Dora was born April 4, 1938 in San Juan, and lived in Pharr for 57 years. She was an active member of the choir for St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Pharr for many years. Mrs. Garcia is preceded in death by her husband, Jose E. Garcia Sr. She is survived by five sons, Jose E. Garcia, Jr., Roel (Anna) Garcia, Joel Garcia, all of Pharr, Noe (Margaret) Garcia of San Juan, Max (Veronica) Garcia of Alamo; one daughter, Gracie Velez of Alamo; numerous grandchildren and great-granchildren; two brothers, Jesus Flores of Rosenberg, Texas, Lorenzo Flores of Donna; three sisters, Maria Morin, Juanita Martinez, both of San Juan, and Berta Hernandez of Rosenberg, Texas. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, Tuesday October 22, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 9 a.m. Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
