Juan T. Garcia

JUAN T. GARCIA DONNA – Juan T. Garcia, 100, died Friday, April 3, 2015, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center. Born in Zacatecas, he had lived in Donna since 2006 and was formerly of Alamo. He is preceded in death by his wife, Amalia Santoyo Garcia; and a son, Servando Garcia. Mr. Garcia is survived by eight sons, Juan Manuel (Olga) Garcia, of Pharr, Pedro Humberto (Sonia) Garcia, of Iowa, Mario (Josie) Garcia, of Laredo, Jose Cruz (Maria Antonia) Garcia, of San Benito, Noe (Linda) Garcia, of San Juan, Roel Garcia, Sijifredo Garcia, both of Alamo, Armando Garcia, of Harlingen; four daughters, Filiberta Garcia, of Donna, Maria Evelia (Jose Luis) Figueroa, of Harlingen, Julia Garcia, Jesus Dina Garcia, both of Houston; 30 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 4 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Monday, April 6, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
